The Sindh Commission for the Protection of Journalists and Other Media Practitioners is striving to foster a culture of safety and security by ensuring the effective implementation of the guarantees provided under article 9 and 19 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the provisions of the Sindh Protection of Journalists and Other Media Practitioners Act, 2021 (Act No. XX of 2021) and relevant principles of the United Nations Plan of Action on Safety of Journalists and the Issue of Impunity, for the promotion and protection of the rights of journalists and other media practitioners in Sindh.
